Hey guys hope you're doing well, and counting down the days for our trip in May!
You've been asking me for details about Bear Weekend, so here you go!
We've been staying @ the Extended Stay on 2nd Ave. & Osborn. It's a good hotel, it's clean, and not to mention, it's in Metro Phoenix, so it's close to everything (Restaurants, bars, shops, food, museums, etc).
Extended Stay America - Phoenix - Midtown
217 West Osborn Road
Phoenix, AZ 85013
Phone: (602) 279-9000
Check in: 3:00 PM
Check out: 10:00 AM
(You will need a Credit Card/Debit Card to reserve your room, AND they will not charge it until you check IN the hotel. Unless you want to pay upfront for your room, it's up to you)
Phurfest 2015 Pool Party
Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 11:00am - 5:00 pm @
Embassy Suites Airport @ 24th Street
2333 East Thomas Road, Phoenix, AZ. 85016
(about 10 minutes from where we would stay)
(The pool party fee was $30 last year, I'm not sure if it went up this year again, I'm still looking for it, but I'll keep you posted for sure)
You can always stay at another hotel, or stay @ the host hotel (check the details @ phurfest.org).
I'm just letting you know about this so you can start looking now, and you won't struggle at the end.
I booked our room, and it came out to $200 for the weekend.
We're leaving El Paso, Friday, May 1st around 10:00am.
It would be awesome if we all stay in the same hotel, but we don't have to.
You're more than welcome if you want to share a room and the expense with someone.
So far, these are the people that are going, and sharing a room already:
Alex & CJ
Robert & Ignacio
Food and drink is entirely on you. If you want to plan out a budget, we went last year with around $400 and came back with maybe $150-180. You don't spend that much really. Please let me know if you still have any questions, concerns, or you want me to update this message also by putting your name with whoever you're going to share a room with.
You can also check www.phurfest.org for more information!
PS. Please remember that this is a 21+ OVER event. The bears won't allow anyone under age of 21.
